Plastic Buckle Tensile Strength Testing
Plastic buckle strength can be evaluated through tensile testing. During the test, the assembled male and female buckle parts are pulled at a controlled speed while the applied load and extension are recorded. Depending on the test method and equipment settings, the test can provide data such as maximum load, breaking load, and extension at break.
In one Ji-Horng tensile test, 10 specimens of the SSR 1-1/2 side-release buckle were tested at a pulling speed of 300 mm/min. The specimens achieved an average maximum load of 105.09 kgf and an average breaking load of 104.80 kgf.
| Test item | Result |
|---|---|
| Product tested | SSR 1-1/2 Side Release Buckle |
| Number of specimens | 10 |
| Pulling speed | 300 mm/min |
| Average maximum load | 105.09 kgf |
| Average breaking load | 104.80 kgf |
| Average extension at break | 20.23 mm |
Test results are specific to the tested product, material, specimen, and test conditions. Actual performance may vary depending on the buckle design, material, webbing, assembly, loading direction, and operating conditions.

How Ji-Horng Verifies Product Quality
Ji-Horng evaluates product quality through inspection and testing according to product specifications and customer requirements. Depending on the product and application, quality checks may include dimensional and appearance inspection, color evaluation, assembly and functional checks, and tensile strength testing.
Specific testing or compliance requirements can be discussed before production. For available inspection reports and certification information, please refer to the documents below.
